Since April 1999, most of my work has been on a per-project basis.

PROGRAM AND PROJECT MANAGER / COORDINATOR / TEAM LEADER

Since 1996, attained extensive experience leading and managing project teams.

Iron Mountain (1/2010 – 2/2010) Assisted the project manager (virtually) on a project geared towards an initiative to adopt new price frameworks and associated business processes to drive consistency in pricing across all business lines within the organization.

AT&T (8/2008 – 2/2009) Led a team (virtually) to perform both quality and structural reviews of eLearning storyboards and simulation scripts in support of detailed telecommunications training.

Columbia University Medical Center (9/2008 – 4/2009) Assisted the project manager on a (virtual) project geared towards training the workflows and system functionality of a customized medical application.

PA State Workers’ Insurance Fund (2004 – 2007) Led a team to successfully develop business-wide policies and procedures across state-wide locations for multiple departments.  Led a team to provide both telephone and desk-side support for the rollout of the IT Modernization Project.  Coordinated and planned the implementation of the Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly (PACE) program.  Also led a team to design, develop, and conduct training to over 350 users migrating from a mainframe computer system to a client-server environment.

CIGNA HealthCare (2001 – 2004) Acted as either a team member or team leader on over 20 (virtual) projects.  Analyzed, scoped, planned and developed various training courses geared towards healthcare.

RR Donnelley & Sons (1996 – 1998) Led a team to (virtually) handle production inventory control issues in three states.

SENIOR INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER / ELEARNING DEVELOPER / TRAINER

Since 1995, attained extensive training development and delivery experience (including storyboards, simulations, and job aids) for numerous types of training courses.

Iron Mountain (1/2010 – 2/2010) Developed instructor-led and web-based training materials and job aids for several training courses geared towards the initiative to adopt new price frameworks and associated business processes to drive consistency in pricing across all business lines within the organization.

CareFusion (9/2009 – 12/2009) In a short period of time, developed both instructor-led and web-based training materials and job aids for several training courses geared towards the implementation of a virtualized server environment.

Terex (11/2007 – 6/2008, and 8/2009) Created and edited storyboards and engaging software simulations for eLearning development in support of an Oracle E-Business Suite implementation.

Sun Microsystems (4/2009 – 7/2009) In a short period of time, developed both Instructor-led and web-based training materials and job aids for several training courses focused on end-user certification of the OpenOffice.org suite of products (Writer, Calc, and Impress).

Columbia University Medical Center (9/2008 – 4/2009) Developed robust Instructor-led training materials, storyboards, and job aids, as well as engaging eLearning software simulations for several training courses focused on the workflows and system functionality of the customized Allscripts TouchWorks application.

AT&T (8/2008 – 2/2009) Led a team to perform both quality and structural reviews of eLearning storyboards and simulation scripts in support of AT&T’s telecommunications training.

Whirlpool (6/2008 – 8/2008) Created storyboards and engaging software simulations for eLearning development in support of Whirlpool’s safety training initiative.

AIG (5/2008 – 7/2008) In a short period of time, developed robust claims training materials for a 3-week training course geared towards processing both Special Risk and Occupational Accident claims.

Terex (11/2007 – 6/2008) Created storyboards and engaging software simulations for eLearning development in support of an Oracle E-Business Suite implementation.

Fred Pryor Seminars (11/2007 – 12/2007) Skillfully updated existing seminar training materials from MS Project 2003 to MS Project 2007 for large scale delivery.  This included removing outdated content and extraneous information, incorporating new features of MS Project 2007, and capturing new screenshots.

CIGNA International (8/2007 – 12/2007) In a short period of time, developed robust claims training materials for a 12-week training course geared towards processing both domestic and international expatriate insurance claims.  Added fun and creative learning activities to reinforce content.  Developed design templates for ease of use when creating additional learning modules.

Pennsylvania State Workers’ Insurance Fund (3/2004 – 8/2007) Led a team to design, develop, and conduct training to over 350 users migrating from a mainframe computer system to a client-server environment.

Morgan Stanley (12/2006 – 12/2006) Seamlessly spliced audio and video presentations together while enhancing with graphical animations to produce quality training video presentations.

CIGNA HealthCare (4/2001 – 10/2004) Creatively developed training for several business units within the organization for over 20 projects, including proprietary software, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Cost Control, Pharmaceutical, Dental, Underwriting, Diversity, Billing, Career Planning, Financial Operations, and many more.

Keystone College (7/2003 –2/2004) Conducted beginner through expert level Microsoft Office training for both adjunct and credited courses.  Designed, developed, and instructed Job Searching, Resume Writing, and Placement courses.

Commercial Cleaning Concepts (6/2003 – 7/2003) Enhanced existing training program with instructional design elements, including updating presentations, conducting train-the-trainer sessions, updating existing materials, and setting evaluation criteria.

Sodexho Food Services (8/2001 – 5/2003) Designed and developed training for the Labor Management System deployment nationwide, to allow the tracking and analysis of labor hours and usage.

Smith Barney (5/2000 – 2/2001) Conducted beginner through expert level Microsoft Office, Siebel, and proprietary software training and advanced desk-side and technical support to users of varied skill levels.  Provided advanced technical and functional support to Equity Research personnel, using all on-hand resources, help desk database archives, logging systems, tracking systems, and professional knowledge.

Allied Medical and Technical Services (2000) Conducted in-depth classroom training on desktop publishing.

Tobyhanna Army Depot (12/2000) Successfully conducted comprehensive instructor led Access training to employees and managers for a 1-week short-term assignment.

AT&T Corporation (3/2000 – 5/2000) Successfully managed the instruction and rollout of the Microsoft Office User Specialist Certification program.  Responsible for the recruitment and hiring of other instructors for the program expansion to the Philadelphia, PA area.

Pennsylvania State Police (4/1999 – 10/1999) Conducted beginner through expert level Microsoft Windows and Office training for the rollout of the new “in-car” laptop systems.

RR Donnelley & Sons, Inc. (10/1996 – 6/1998) Conducted functional Oracle training to employees in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Kentucky on the entry of inventory and customers.  

BUSINESS ANALYST / POLICY AND PROCEDURES

Pennsylvania State Workers' Insurance Fund (3/2004 - 8/2007) Effectively led a team to successfully develop business-wide policies and procedures across state-wide locations for multiple departments, including: Claims, Underwriting, Accounting, IT, Administrative, Financial Services, Legal, Auditing, Credit & Collections, Fraud, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Records Management, and Customer Service, for distribution via the intranet.  Interfaced and coordinated with all organizational levels, including Senior Management Executives, to gain consensus across all business channels, map current processes and flows, identify gaps, and provide efficient alternatives.

Also held positions as Help Desk / Desk Side Support Consultant, Marketing Consultant, Web and Graphic Designer, Freelance Writer, Technical Writer, Database Design Consultant, IT Specialist, and Sales Representative. ·  

Robinson’s Martial Arts Institute (2/2006 – 2/2010) Professionally planned, designed, implemented, tested, and maintained the company website.  Created eye-catching posters, tickets, newsletters, marketing material, and branding collateral.

BrassRing.com (4/2001) Created several in-depth web articles surrounding the value of technical certification and its impact on the IT industry.

Parente’s Italian Food Center (4/01 – 7/01) Effectively converted the manual business process to a customized order fulfillment and customer management system.

M. Kraig Auto (7/00 – 12/00) Developed, implemented, and maintained a specialized Access database for tracking work orders, employee information, and inventory.

 MetLife (10/1998 – 4/1999 and 1/3/2000 – 1/31/2000) Provided outstanding technical support to clients around the world concerning both functional and technical issues, as well as all out-sourced software Y2K issues.  Utilized all resources at hand to analyze and resolve various levels of questions by retrieving information through my own personal knowledge as well as the problem resolution archive, reports, databases, logging and tracking systems.

RR Donnelley & Sons, Inc. (10/1996 – 6/1998) Handled production inventory control issues for the warehouse management systems in three states.  Functional System Tester / Team Lead for implementation of WIP/BOM capabilities of Oracle and DOMS.

Barrier Window Systems (12/95 – 9/96) Demonstrated and sold high quality windows and doors to home owners.  Received top sales award.
